At Riverside, we have options with our gentle dentists able to scale (dental clean) and polish your teeth, or our Oral Health Therapist (hygienist) can see you to scale your teeth clean to remove build up helping keep your teeth and gums healthy. We do recommend regular maintenance dental clean appointments to help ensure we don't get too much buildup of plaque and tartar over time. The frequency of these are tailored to the needs of each individual with the most common being about every six months.

Prior to any dental cleaning your gum health will be assessed to check for any signs of periodontal (gum) disease. Plaque and tartar will be gently removed as part of the cleaning and polishing process so you can smile with confidence.

Our hygienist is fantastic for seeing people who need longer appointments, either because of larger amounts of buildup, or if you prefer more time to allow the cleaning to occur with different instruments. This can be better for people with generally sensitive teeth, or who like to take more breaks during an appointment. You are welcome to book direct in with our hygienist for a dental clean. This can be booked directly online, or through our friendly dental team.
